Telemedicine Services

For the last 10 years or so, the founder was studying telemedicine services run by governments, institutions, corporate houses and NGOs and their business models to examine if a sustainable venture could be started. The project was put in cold storage due to feasibility and various other issues. COVID-19 pandemic and its impact seems to change this opinion.

“Quality Health Service for All”- a high quality core minimum essential health services specifically targeting the remotest under-served areas mandates that we take advantages of information and communications technology (ICT) enabled services like Telemedicine.

We will now conduct literature review and more case studies to understand the dynamics of starting a Telemedicine service and see if a “profitable” or a “no profit – no loss” business model can be operationalized and then sustained.
